Daisies--Ironstone--and Milk Bottles?

Working outdoors in the flower beds inspired me to bring a little Spring inside. . .Bored with traditional bouquets, I decided to do something a little different. . .

Pretty self-explanatory. . .Yep. . .I still like to shake things up a bit. . .Just another lesson in FARMHOUSE making-do. . .

Absolutely stunning, what a brilliant idea. I shall be looking for some similar old bottles at a local brocante this weekend here in France, thanks for showing this. Have a lovely weekend.

So sweet and simple. Where did you get those white cream bottles? They are so cute and make a lovely display with the white flowers. Enjoy the weekend.

I have a wire crate, and am collecting the smaller sized milk bottles. Your white ones are adorable!

All those flowers are from your garden?!? We are still waiting for the daffodils to bloom here. I saw some in the neighborhood, but mine are about an inch high!
Love the flowers in milk bottles, they are so versatile. That crate is really cool.

I love the idea! I have 6 glass cylinders in a wrought iron container...each one holds one rose bud or flower (from Country Curtains). I love it when it's full of freshly picked flowers. Enjoying catching up on your blog posts...

Blessings,

Love it Dru! It will be a while till I have Daisies to bring indoors, but I love them. I scored a box of ironstone at a thrift for $20 last Feb. Boy did I ever do a happy dance!

Always enjoy your posts, am behind a few so will go down line to catch up. Loved the story about the angel, can believe what a person believes but that was an angel. Glad he was there for her when she needed some help.
When we lived in MT took hubs over to Missoula to yard he worked out of. Going back over continental divide from Missoula is pretty scarey but with bad breaks, bad tires and no insurance I was scared since it was winter with lots of snow/ice on roads, had long way to get home. I just took my time, geared down a lot but boy was I white knuckle driving. Going down 10-12% grades in our little car was like riding in a roller skate. Did make it home hours later but after that hubs took bus back and forth. I feel that somebody had to be looking out for me to make it home. Another time going over to Missoula (before previous time) I fell asleep at wheel, ended up from slow lane to median, luckily was part with grass and not concrete wall as much of it was. Also as I crept across the lane asleep no cars were coming to hit. I woke up when I heard the little dots on side of road for that purpose. I turned wheel to slow me down skidding several feet sideways and finally came to stop. I sat there for while to let my poor old heart relax, was beating like crazy. Phew what a close call. I had been following hubs and he didn't realize anything had happened. I got to truck yard later than he expected, was still shook up pretty badly. He didn't seem to think it was any big deal. I still think somebody or thing was watching out for me then also.
Love those awesome white milk bottles in the rack, where did you get those? Sure look pretty with flowers in them. Great post as always. Looks like lots of your readers love those adorable milk bottles in that wire crate.
Have a great week.
